As the RAFGSA moves towards an all GRP fleet this ASK13 is now surplus to Association requirements.
The ASK-13 is the gold standard in glider training – its predictable handling and forgiving stall characteristics make it ideal for teaching beginners while also being fun for experienced pilots. Its versatility allows for a wide range of flight activities. Currently in storage at RAF Shawbury this aircraft is in excellent condition overall having been refurbished by Dave Bullock in 2019. Aircraft not re-rigged so Range of Movements was not completed. Structural survey (BGA 3 year wooden gliders) is due next annual in 2025 – this aircraft has the access holes present for an easy survey. If required by the buyer this aircraft can be sold with an open-top trailer, but this will be negotiated as a separate cost.
