AGM Update

7th November 2022 admin 0

RAFGSA members might recall that at the December 2021 AGM the next AGM was advertised as towards the end of 2022.  This was going to be an ‘interim AGM’ prior to adopting a new AGM timing of early Spring each year.  This timing is to better suit the RAF Sports accounting year, the need to provide the Malcolm Club Trust (MCT) Trustees with timely audited data prior to any subsequent AGM and the availability of independently audited accounts to the standard required by the Charities Commission.  This year has been particularly busy.  Events in Eastern Europe have reduced the time Read More

Eagle Cradle 2019

It’s not often that a ‘junk’ email turns about to be trustworthy, but in the case of the recent RAF Gliding and Soaring Association visit to Brazil the offer received certainly wasn’t too good to be true! The chance email that was mistakenly filtered as spam was an invite to attend the 30th International Gliding Competition at the Brazilian Air Force Academy near Sau Paulo. Numerous quick-fire emails were sent to graciously accept the offer and confirm with the Defence Attaché in Brazil that RAF attendance would be approved.   Sqn Ldr Jon Arnold and Flt Lt Luke Dale were selected by the RAFGSA committee to compete. Both Read More
